Norman Foster is considered one of the most productive and outstanding architects of his generation, having participated in the design of hundreds of projects in collaboration with leading engineers and international companies. He was elected a fellow of the Royal Academy in 1983, then became a Royal Academician in 1991, and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Academy of architecture in 1995.
He received a bachelor's degree with honors in 1990, which raised his rank to “Sir”, he was also awarded the order of merit of Honor in 1997, and was crowned with the title of “Baron” in England. In 2017, he was awarded the “bayonet of the city of London”.
Foster has received many notable architectural awards, including the” Pritzker Prize " for architecture in 2009, which is considered the equivalent of the Nobel Prize in the humanities. He was also awarded the Stirling Prize for the design of the Bloomberg building in London in 2018, and the “Lenny award. F. F. Biddle” in recognition of his life achievements, as well as the Aga Khan Award for architecture and an honorary doctorate from the University of Dundee for architecture and other awards.
